I like working in this ER but it is pretty busy. Lots of interesting pathology and generally friendly patients. Ancillary staff (RT/rads/lab) are pretty quick and on the ball for the most time. Biggest gripe is not a lot of support and transferring can be a bit of a pain with multiple phone calls, long waits for EMS, etc. Fair amount of peds. Decent mid-level coverage in the middle of the day. A lot of other docs/nurses are traveling too and I’d say about half the nurses are pretty hard workers. What’s nice is that they have a house for locums so no need to stay in a hotel!
